Old Johor Bahru Railway Station

The Old Johor Bahru Railway Station, built in 1930, is the oldest railway station in Johor Bahru. It is historically correct to assume that the first railway in Malaya was built in Johor in 1869. During its early days, the railway was referred to as the Wooden Railway or Keretapi Kayu Johor, as the rails were made from timber. It was also known as Keretapi Asap.
